About INDOOR Biotechnologies
INDOOR Biotechnologies is an international company specializing in the production of antibodies and test kits for allergies and asthma. In total, INDOOR Biotechnologies consists of three affiliated companies: INDOOR Biotechnologies Inc (IBI), based in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, INDOOR Biotechnologies Limited (IBL), based in Cardiff, UK, and INDOOR Biotechnologies India (IBIndia), newly established in Bangalore. INDOOR Biotechnologies' laboratories in Charlottesville and Cardiff are ISO 17025 compliant.
INDOOR Biotechnologies is considered a leader in the assessment of allergen exposure in the environment, workplace, public facilities and home.
Allergy research and diagnostics are becoming increasingly important. Around 20 % of the adult population in Germany suffers from at least one allergy (RKI 2016). INDOOR Biotechnologies conducts research to elucidate the structure, functions and immune recognition of allergens and produces highly purified allergens for this purpose.

Technology
INDOOR Biotechnologies has a large portfolio of proprietary antibodies for the detection of various allergens, such as dust mites, animal dander, cockroaches, molds, pollen and food allergies.
The antibodies are used in immunoassays such as ELISA kits and MARIA technology. MARIA stands for Multiplex Array for INDOOR Allergens and represents a multiplex testing method for environmental allergens.
In addition, purified allergens are available in natural or recombinant versions. The special feature of the product line is the high degree of purity combined with high biological activity. The LoToxTM-allergens are used for research in allergy diagnostics and vaccine development.
Quality standards of INDOOR Biotechnologies
Allergen purification and validation is performed according to the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Allergens are purified by affinity chromatography and/or HPLC. Protein identity and amino acid composition are verified by mass spectrometry and amino acid analysis. Immunoreactivity is validated by monoclonal antibody binding. The LoToxTM- products
The LoToxTM- allergens have a particularly low endotoxin content (<0.03 EU/µg protein) and are ideal for cellular studies in humans and mice with T cells, APCs or dendritic cells. The products are not intended for in vivo or therapeutic use in humans. The LoToxTM- products are suitable for in vitro research and commercial use only.
The LoToxTM- products are particularly suitable for research studies where endotoxin affects the cellular response.

Multiplex Array for INDOOR Allergens-MARIA
MARIA technology represents the most advanced technology in allergy detection. With MARIA, it is possible to detect multiple allergens simultaneously in a single test with increased sensitivity, accuracy and precision.
MARIA can be used in high-throughput formats, reducing time and cost. INDOOR Biotechnologies' powerful antibodies are used in combination with Luminex xMAP technology, which enables parallel testing of 3 to 500 targets. This greatly increases efficiency compared to conventional testing methods.
The MARIA kits can be varied according to customer specifications.
