EvoPure Antimicrobials

Almost all research-grade pharmaceuticals and antimicrobials contain various related compounds with varying antimicrobial activities and toxicity. In most cases, an antimicrobial agent consists of one or more related active compounds and few impurities. There are clear differences in the proportions of antimicrobial compounds and impurities between different lots of antimicrobial agents due to different manufacturing processes, which causes uncontrollable variability. The effects on experimental results have so far been little researched. To assess these often uncontrollable variables, TOKU-E developed the antimicrobial product line EvoPure. Proprietary chemical separation processes are used to produce highly purified single antimicrobial congeners, metabolites and contaminants. Most of them are more than 99% pure. The composition of most USP and EP pharmaceutical products is generally not limited to a single compound, but to a mixture containing one or two main compounds and other congeners (related compounds and impurities). EvoPure products can be used in various in vitro applications, including toxicity studies, gene selection, microbiology or as analytical reference standards. All analytical EvoPure reference standards are manufactured in the TOKU-E purification laboratory in Gent (Belgium) and are fully characterized by spectral analysis - HNMR, FTIR, MS and HPLC.
