Description	NRC-16, is a 19 amino acid cationic peptide, derived from witch flounder.1 NRC-16 shows a potent inhibitory effect against Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria and fungi.2, 3 When tested for antibiofilm activity with P. aeruginosa strains NRC-16 inhibited biofilm formation with no cytotoxic effects. Since NRC-16 displays antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities with less cytotoxicity, it can be considered for treatment of microbial infections in the future.
