Recombinant Human Toll-Like Receptor 2/TLR2 is produced with our mammalian expression system in human cells. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Glu21-Leu590) of Human TLR2 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

Toll-Like Receptor 2 (TLR2) belongs to the Toll-like receptor family. TLR2 is expressed in many cells & tissues including monocytes, bone marrow, lymph node & the spleen, it is highly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes. TLR2 cooperates with LY96 to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipoproteins & other microbial cell wall components. It interacts with TLR1 to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipoproteins or lipopeptides. In addition, TLR2 acts via MYD88 & TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion & the inflammatory response. TLR2 may also promote apoptosis in response to lipoproteins.
