CD79B, also known as Igb and B29, is a 36kD transmembrane glycoprotein in the immunoglobulin superfamily. Heterodimers of CD79A and CD79B associate with a membrane bound immunoglobulin on the B cell surface to form the B cell antigen receptor complex(BCR). CD79A and CD79B are required for BCR-mediated signaling and consequently for the development and activation of B lineage cells.

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
