Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 1mM DTT, 30% glycerol.

ACP6, also known as Iysophosphatidic acid phosphatase type 6, hydrolyzes lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) containing a medium length fatty acid chain to the corresponding monoacylglycerol. Has highest activity with lysophosphatidic acid containing myristate (C14:0), monounsaturated oleate (C18:1) or palmitate (C16:0), and lower activity with C18:0 and C6:0 lysophosphatidic acid.

Enzyme Activity:
Specific activity is >70units/mg, and is defined as the amount of enzyme that hydrolyzes p-nitrophenyl phosphate (pNPP) per minute at pH 5.0 and 37°C.

Applications:
Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
