Description
a-Chymotrypsin is a versatile building block that is used in the production of fine chemicals, complex compounds, and research chemicals. It has been shown to be a useful building block for the synthesis of new compounds. This enzyme was first discovered in 1878 by Edmond Frémy. It is also a useful intermediate for peptide synthesis and can be used as a reaction component for the production of polymers. The enzyme has been isolated from various sources including human liver, bovine pancreas, porcine pancreas, and chicken egg white.
