RAP1B belongs to a superfamily of RAS-like small GTP-binding proteins involved in cell signaling. It possesses intrinsic GTPase activity and is ubiquitously expressed in mammalian tissues. The putative effector domain of Ras proteins, whose integrity is required for cell transformation as well as interaction with the putative effector protein GAP, is conserved in both Rap 1 proteins.

Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-181 from human RAP1B, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
