Description	Mouse Anti Human Hexokinase-2
Introduction	Hexokinases phosphorylate glucose to produce glucose-6-phosphate, thus committing glucose to the glycolytic pathway. Hexokinase 2 is the predominant form found in skeletal muscle. It localizes to the outer membrane of mitochondria. Expression of this gene is insulin-responsive, and studies in rat suggest that it is involved in the increased rate of glycolysis seen in rapidly growing cancer cells.

Immunogen	Anti-human Hexokinase-2 mAb is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human Hexokinase-2 amino acids 1-917 purified from E. coli.
Purification Method	Hexokinase-2 antibody was purified from mouse ascitic fluids by protein-G affinity chromatography.
