Storage Conditions	Lyophilized Sox2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution Sox2 should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Introduction	SOX2 is a transcription factor that forms a trimeric complex with OCT4 on DNA and controls the expression of a number of genes involved in embryonic development such as YES1, FGF4, UTF1 and ZFP206. SOX4 is important for early embryogenesis and for embryonic stem cell pluripotency.
