Description
PDK1 (pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase isoform 1) is involved in the regulation of enzymatic activity of mammalian pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH) that is a part of a mitochondrial multienzyme complex to catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate and is one of the major enzymes responsible for the regulation of homeostasis of carbohydrate fuels in mammals. PDK1 has been found to serve as an effective therapeutic target for inhibition of glioblastoma growth. Recombinant human PDK1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Form
Liquid. In 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 7.0) containing 100mM NaCl, 0.5mM DTT, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.1mM PMSF, 1mM MgCl2, 40% glycerol
Storage
Can be stored at +4C short term (1-2 weeks). For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C or -70C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
