TSLP Protein, a cytokine, stimulates T-cell-attracting chemokine release from monocytes and enhances CD11c(+) dendritic cell maturation. It directly activates mast cells, possibly inducing allergic inflammation. TSLP may also possess antimicrobial properties in the oral cavity and on the skin.
