Introduction
Interleukin-17 is a disulphide-linked homodimer of two 15.5kDa subunits. High levels of IL-17 homodimer are produced by stimulated primary CD4 the T-cells from the peripheral blood. IL-17 is reported to enhance the expression of intracellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in human fibroblasts.
