Description: Resveratrol, also known as trans-Resveratrol, SRT-501 and RM-1812, is a naturally occuring phytoalexin produced by several plants with anti-cancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, blood-sugar-lowering and other beneficial cardiovascular effects. Resveratrol induces phase II drug-metabolizing enzymes and induces promyelocytic leukemia cell differentiation, thereby exhibiting activities in three major steps of carcinogenesis. This agent may inhibit TNF-induced activation of NF-kappaB in a dose- and time-dependent manner.
