Description	InvivoChem Cat #:V1027CAS #:181183-52-8 Purity >=98% Description: Almotriptan Malate (formerly LAS31416; LAS-31416; Almogran; Amignul; Almotrex; Axert), the maleate salt of Almotriptan which is an approved anti-migraine drug, is a potent and selective 5-hydroxytryptamine1B/1D (5-HT1B/1D) receptor agonist. It is a triptan drug developed by Almirall for the treatment of heavy migraine headache in adults. Almotriptan acts by binding to the receptor which leads to vasoconstriction of the cranial blood vessels and thus affects the redistribution of cranial blood flow. It significantly increases cerebral blood flow and reduces blood flow through extracerebral cranial vessels.
