Description	InvivoChem Cat #:V3158CAS #:1377049-84-7 Purity >=98% Description: Velpatasvir (formerly known as GS-5816 or VEL) is a potent, selective, second-generation inhibitor of Hepatitis C virus NS5A. It inhibits hepatitis C viral replication through acting on the crucial 'membranous web' that facilitates RNA replication. Velpatasvir is a pan-genotypic inhibitor of HCV nonstructural protein 5A (NS5A) with activity against genotype 1 (GT1) to GT6 HCV replicons. Velpatasvir has demonstrated a high barrier to resistance in HCV replicon assays and a pangenotypic antiviral activity in patients with genotypes 1-4 HCV infection. It is being tested in combination with other pangenotypic direct-acting antivirals to obtain a well-tolerated, highly effective treatment option for all HCV genotypes.
