Description: Dinoprost (Prostaglandin F2alpha) is a potent, naturally occurring and orally bioactive prostaglandin that acts as a prostaglandin F (PGF) receptor (FP receptor) agonist with oxytocic, luteolytic, and abortifacient activities.It is a naturally occurring luteolytic hormone produced locally in the endometrial luminalepithelium and corpus luteum (CL), and plays a key role in theonset and progression of labour, also used as a prostaglandin in medicine to induce labor.
