IGF-I Des(1-3) Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 67 amino acids (aa 4-70) and having a molecular mass of 7368.5 Dalton. IGF-1 Des1-3 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance and Stability: Lyophilized IGF-I des(1-3) although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution IGF1 des-1-3 should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity: The protein (1mg/ml) was lyophilized was lyophilized from a 0.2um filtered concentrated solution in 20mM PBS, pH 7.0. Greater than 97.0% as determined by:(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the IGF-I des(1-3) in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by a cell proliferation assay using FDC-P1 cells is less than 2.0 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 5x105 units/mg.
