KGF 2 Rat Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 179 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 20.0kDa. The KGF 2 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance and Stability: Lyophilized KGF 2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution KGF 2 should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity: Lyophilized from a 0.2um filtered concentrated solution in 1xPBS, pH 7.4 containing 5% trehalose. Greater than 97.0% as determined by:(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized KGF 2 Rat Recombinant in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF receptors is < 0.5ng/ml.
