Short Description |
Rabbit polyclonal against MAP LC beta |
Description |
MAP LC3 beta is a protein encoded by the MAP1LC3B gene which is approximately 14, 7 kDa. MAP LC3 beta is localised to the cytoplasm, cytoskeleton and autophagosome membrane. It is involved in pathways such as vesicle-mediated transport, pink/parkin mediated mitophagy, ferroptosis, cellular senescence and the autophagy pathway. MAP LC3 beta is a subunit of neuronal microtubule-associated MAP1A and MAP1B proteins, which are involved in microtubule assembly and plays an important role in neurogenesis. MAP LC3 beta is expressed most abundantly in the heart, brain, skeletal muscle and testis and less expressed in liver. Mutations in the MAP1LC3B gene result in sporadic pheochromocytoma, lacrimal gland adenocarcinoma and spastic paraplegia STJ97398 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody detects endogenous MAP LC3 beta protein. |
