Manufacturer - Applications
Biological activity determined by its ability to chemoattracthuman peripheral T cells activated with PHA and Interleukin-2 using a concentrationof 20-80ng/ml. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer foruse in its particular application. Other applications have not been testedbut use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
Storage Conditions
The lyophilized product is stable for a few weeks at roomtemperature but is best stored at –20°C. After reconstitution, aliquot andstore at –20°C.
Full name
Chemokine (C-X-C motif) Ligand 12
Product Overview
Recombinant Chemokine (C-X-C motif) Ligand 12 (CXCL12) is arecently discovered protein belonging to the alpha chemokine (CXC) family ofcytokines. Recombinant Human CXCL12 is an 8kDa protein containing 68 aminoacid residues and which was expressed in E. coli.

Antigen Description
SDF-1 (stromal cell-derived factor-1) is small cytokinebelonging to the chemokine family that is officially designated Chemokine(C-X-C motif) ligand 12 (CXCL12) Stromal cell-derived factors 1-alpha and1-beta are small cytokines that belong to the intercrine family, members ofwhich activate leukocytes and are often induced by proinflammatory stimulisuch as lipopolysaccharide, TNF, or IL1. The intercrines are characterized bythe presence of 4 conserved cysteines that form 2 disulfide bonds. They canbe classified into 2 subfamilies. In the CC subfamily, which includes betachemokine, the cysteine residues are adjacent to each other. In the CXCsubfamily, which includes alpha chemokine, they are separated by anintervening amino acid. The SDF1 proteins belong to the latter group
