Genway ID:

Antigen:
apoLipoprotein C1
Immunogen:
apoLipoprotein Type C-I produced synthetically in full-length form (not selected epitopes) using conventional peptide technology. Family: ApolipoproteinFraction: Affinity Purified IgGApplication: Anti-apoLipoprotein antibodies have been used for indirect trapping ELISA for quantitation of antigen in serum using a standard curve for immunoprecipitation and for western blotting for highly sensitive qualitative analysis. Recommended
Dilution:
This product was assayed by immunoblot and found to be reactive against apoLipoprotein C-I at a dilution of 1:5 000 to 1:10 000. This product was also assayed against 1. 0 ug of apoLipoprotein C-I in a standard sandwich ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Goat IgG [H& L] (Rabbit) catalog # 25-732-294061 and (ABTS (2 2\' -azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:4 000 to 1:8 000 of the stock concentration is suggested for this product. For immunohistochemistry on paraffin embedded tissue dilute the product 1:50 to 1:200. Optimal titers for other applications should be determined by the researcher. Physical State: Liquid (sterile filtered)Purity and
Specificity:
This product has been prepared by immunoaffinity chromatography using immobilized antigens followed by extensive cross-adsorption against other apoLipoproteins and human serum proteins to remove any unwanted specificities. Typically less than 1% cross reactivity against other types of apoLipoprotein was detected by ELISA against purified standards. This antibody reacts with human apoLipoprotein C-I and has negligible cross-reactivity with Type A-I A-II B C-II C-III E and J apoLipoproteins. Specific cross reaction of anti-apoLipoprotein antibodies with antigens from other species has not been determined. Non-specific cross reaction of anti-apoLipoprotein antibodies with other human serum proteins is negligible. Antibody
Concentration:
1. 0 mg/ml (by UV absorbance at 280 nm)
Buffer:
1. 0 mg/ml (by UV absorbance at 280 nm)
Stabilizer:
None
Ship Code:
WETICE
Function:
Appears to modulate the interaction of APOE with beta-migrating VLDL and inhibit binding of beta-VLDL to the LDL receptor-related protein.
Subcellular Location:
Secreted.
Tissue Specificity:
Synthesized mainly in liver and to a minor degree in intestine. Secreted in plasma.
Miscellaneous:
Apo-CI makes up about 10% of the protein of the VLDL (very low density lipoprotein) and 2% of that of HDL (high density lipoprotein).
Similarity:
Belongs to the apolipoprotein C1 family.
