Manufacturer - Specificity
This product is specific for human Tumour Necrosis Factor alpha (TNF❏❏alpha), a 17.4kDa multi-functional pro-inflammatory cytokine primarily secreted by macrophages, but also produced by T and B lymphocytes, activated monocytes and fibroblasts. TNF-alpha exists in both a transmembrane and mature soluble form and has many biological properties, including activation of transcription factor NF-ÐB, the induction of apoptosis in various tumour cell lines and the stimulation of cell differentiation and proliferation under certain conditions. Studies have revealed a role for TNF-alpha in inflammation, septic shock, autoimmune disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
Expiration
12 months from the date of shipment when stored properly.
Preparation
Antisera to human TNF-alpha were raised by repeated immunisations of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography.

Recombinant human TNF-alpha
Immunohistology
