Manufacturer - Specificity	This product is specific for human Artemin, a disulfide-linked homodimer and member of the GDNF (glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor) family of ligands, and cysteine-knot superfamily of growth factors, which shares structural homology with GDNF, Persephin and Neurturin.Artemin acts as a neurotrophic survival and differentiation factor for all peripheral ganglia, and mainly signals through binding to the GDNF-family receptor known as GFR-alpha-3, which then forms a complex with the tyrosine kinase transmembrane signalling receptor RET.
Preparation	Antisera to human Artemin were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
