It is commonly used as the ligand of E3 ligase in PROTACs (proteolysis targeting chimeras), a protein degradation technology. Pomalidomide was approved in 2013 by the US FDA for treatment for relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma, in particular, relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma (MM).
