The predicted size of HE4 protein is 12 kDa. The affinity purified recombinant human HE4 showed two bands: the major band is about 20 kDa, and the minor band is about 12 kDa. Both bands were confirmed by Western blotting using anti-HE4 antibody. The 20-kDa band may represent N-glycosylated form (Ronny Drapkin, et al. Cancer Res 2005, 65(6): 2162-9).
